Frequently Asked Questions
LOOKS WET NO MESS Tire Shine
Why doesn't LOOKS WET NO MESS (LWNM) sling all over like other wet look tire dressings?
LWNM contains special bonding agents which help it adhere to rubber so that it won't sling all over your vehicle as soon as you start driving. Also, we use the highest quality ingredients and blending processes.
Do I need to prep my tires before applying LWNM?
Yes, the cleaner the tires are, the better LWNM will work. Generally a good degreaser such as Westley's Bleach White TM or Simple Green TM will do the trick. If your tires are extremely dirty, use old rags dipped in paint thinner and simply wipe the tires clean. This will strip any old dressing off and ensure that the tires are as clean as they can possibly be.
What's the best way to apply LWNM?
After your tires are clean and dry spray LWNM in continuous rings starting with the inner ring, working outward toward the edge. Avoid back and forth motions as this will only waste product.
Do I need to wipe LWNM?
No, LWNM is designed to be sprayed on and requires no wiping after it has been sprayed on. It will set nearly dry to the touch in about 45 seconds and the vehicle is ready to be driven.
What about overspray on my wheels?
You will be absolutley amazed at how little overspray LWNM will make, thanks to its' overspray controlling power nozzle. It is not necessary to wipe any overspray off of your wheels but if you accidentally spray it on them, simply wipe off with a paper towel. LWNM is 100% safe for all wheel finishes including chrome, painted and even unfinished, polished aluminum.
How long will LWNM last?
Because LWNM is waterproof, it will last about 2-3 weeks on a daily driver even through rain and a couple of car washings. You simply won't believe how long it lasts. On a garaged show vehicle it will last indefinitely.
Will LWNM preserve my tires?
Yes, LWNM contains UV and Ozone protection and will prevent your tires from browning, fading or cracking. The dressing itself will not yellow, crack or peel.
How may tires will one can do?
Depending on tire size, on can will dress about 16-20 tires (4-5 vehicles). If you're running 20's with low profile tires, you'll probably get more per can than this; if you've got monster truck tires, you will get less.
