Frequently Asked Questions

POWER SHINE Instant Spray Polish and Wax

What makes POWER SHINE different than spray mist and wipes or other spray waxes?

Mist and wipes are simply water with some type of lubricant mixed in, which makes them fine for dusting and removing fingerprints, but that's about it. And other spray waxes typically contain no cleaners, polishes or fill-in glazes, they are just wax. Power Shine is actually 4 products in one; it's a cleaner, a polish, a fill in glaze, and a protectant:

  1. Mild cleaners remove bugs, tar, grease, light scratches and light oxidation.
  2. Optical brighteners polish and restore color, clarity, depth and shine.
  3. Fill in glaze fills spiderwebbing and removes swirl marks.
  4. Carnauba wax protects and produces a 3 month water bead.

What's the best way to apply POWER SHINE?

Spray POWER SHINE into a cotton applicator pad or damp sponge, then wipe on in up and down parallel lines instead of a circular motion. Allow to haze (about 30 seconds) and wipe off with a separate, dry 100% cotton terry towel. Do not spray POWER SHINE directly onto vehicle.

Does it make a lot of buffing dust?

No, POWER SHINE makes absolutely no buffing dust, nor will it build up in creases or crevices.

Can I use it in direct sunlight?

Yes, you can use POWER SHINE even on a dark colored car in direct sunlight without getting streaks or smears. However, POWER SHINE will perform optimally on a cool, shaded surface.

Can I use POWER SHINE as a waterless car wash?

No, we never recommend polishing or waxing a vehicle without washing it first. But you can use POWER SHINE on a slightly dusty vehicle.

How may vehicles will one bottle detail?

A little goes a long way, so use POWER SHINE as if it cost $100.00 per bottle. Generally, one bottle will detail about 8-10 average size vehicles.

How long does it take to detail my vehicle with POWER SHINE?

Because POWER SHINE is super fast and easy to wipe on and off, you can detail most vehicles in about 20-30 minutes with show car quality results.

Can I apply multiple coats?

Yes, but one coat is sufficient. If your going for critical show points, you can apply multiple coats (2-4) for maximum shine without fear of build-up or color distortion.
